A child’s first dental visit should be around 18-24 months of age to familiarise them with the surroundings. It will be an opportunity to go for a ride in the dental chair and get to know the dentist making all future dental appointments a breeze.
It is also an opportunity for the dentist to provide parents with appropriate oral hygiene instructions for looking after your childs teeth.
At Franklin Dental Care, we are more than happy to check if your child/ren are eligible for Medicares CDBS. If you provide us with your Medicare card details and the number of the child/ren on the card, we can access this information.
The CDBS provides basic dental services to children aged between 2-17years. Dental services are capped at $1000 over 2 consecutive calendar years and then are reset. Dental services include: examination, xray, cleaning, fissure seal, fillings, root canal treatment, extractions. Unfortunately, the CDBS does not cover orthodontic, cosmetic dental work or dental services provided in hospital.
If your child/ren are eligible, we bulk bill through Medicare, which means by using your medicare number, we send a claim electronically to Medicare
